Good song, but Im confused....wasnt he John Cougar...or was it John Mellancamp......is cougar a REAL middle name? If it sint, then why Cougar? Just something I was pondering...and speaking of ponder.........

This is confusing, it seems he started life as John Mellencamp, but his first album was released under the name Johnny Cougar. After that he was known as John Cougar, John Cougar Mellencamp, and again John Mellencamp. I can't explain the decision to use cougar, and am frightened by what else you may be pondering.
