First Time Homebuyer.....
As of yesterday I am well on my way to my own episode of the American Dream! After spending a couple weeks wondering if my goal of buying a house before the end of the year was realistic I got a break Monday morning. My Realtor called and told me about a little house he'd just gotten the listing on. It was our own little secret, nobody else knew about it. I went and looked and to my delight none of the rooms was painted purple, red or blue with little clouds. The floors were even (and mostly hardwood), the floor plan did not resemble a cornfield maze, and the rest of the house looked very solid. My only concern is the chicken coop in the backyard, which last I knew, was occupied, I've not been able to confirm that they are not included in the sale. I've done the farm animal thing and I'm kinda over it. The price was a little out of my range, but after a heart-to-heart with my banker and a little creative math I was able to make an offer I didn't think would be an insult to the seller.
The seller took my offer, less than an hour later we had a signed contract, and I was scheduling a home inspection. Today my banker told me he thought they'd have me ready to close in two weeks or less. I never expected things to move so quickly, I'm busy mentally redecorating each of the rooms, after all, I only have two weeks.

Congratulations!!!!!! Now, as they say, your headaches begin! Home ownership is going to be your second fulltime job. However being a fellow home owner it's a job i would'nt give up and work like hell to keep. Enjoy your new home and good luck.
