Home Ownership and Computer Detox
I've been a happy homeowner for nearly a month now, and aside from the lack of internet service until after Christmas it's going well.
Unless you take into consideration the last occupant used Elmer's Glue to hang an ugly wallpaper border, and the glue is rather happy to stay right where it is.
Or that they covered beautiful hardwood cabinets with bananna yellow paint.
And just painted over a section of the wall that had either been dinner for a termite or dry rotted instead of replacing it.
Or that the wiring does not like my taste in light fixtures and refuses to operate them properly.
Or that the floor where the refrigerator sits slopes about half an inch, which was not apparent until the appliance was actually placed there.
But, all that aside, it's still MINE!
