I'm guessing "Blackened Vegetable Soup" will never catch on...
.... otherwise known as "the reason I should not be trusted to operate a stove and a computer at the same time".
Chicken Broth
Green Beans, cut into bite size lengths
Carrots, cut into whatever shape you prefer
Red Potatoes, diced
Beets, 1 can shoestring style
Sour Cream
Heat Chicken Broth in pan on stove, add Green Beans, Carrots, and Red Potatoes. Leave room and forget about pan on stove until Chicken Broth is reduced to a faint residue on the sides of the pan. Vegetables should be turning black on the bottom and starting to stick to the pan. Return to Kitchen, verbally berate yourself while attempting to salvage the soup with more Chicken Broth. Add Beets to disguise black bits floating in the pan, do not leave kitchen until Beets are heated through. Remove from stove, pour into serving dish, add Sour Cream.
Serves: Anyone who is not freaked out by eating soup with black bits floating in it.

So many choices.....
When confronted by an email from your mother saying she is expecting yet another 12 inches of snowfall, which could bring their monthly total to 47 inches, do you:
A. Email back telling her your air conditioner kicked in automatically today.
B. Invest in a digital cameral to send her pictures of the irises whose opening happens to conicide with her blizzard.
C. Fail to reply, because you are spending the day curled up in your rope swing with a mezmerizing book on business management, titled "Gang Leader for a Day".
It's so good to have options.

Status Quo....
Typical morning at my house...... except that most mornings my aunt isn't roaming around taking random pictures of me before I've looked in a mirror.
Also, most mornings my coffee table isn't that clean.

Overheard....
The following is a real conversation:
Anonymous co-worker: "You've got new glasses".
Me: "Yep, it was cheaper than getting a new face."
