Things to do when you're procrastinating.....
1. Check Facebook
2. Send random emails
3. Look at your blog stats
4. Make a salad
5. Look at the clock, comment out loud that your report is not going to write itself
6. Eat the rest of your salad
7. Play computer games
8. Make a couple phone calls, these don't actually count as procrastinating, since they are relevant to the report.
9. Play more computer games
10. Look at the clock, note an entire hour has passed, comment out loud that your report is not going to write itself
11. Mentally rehearse a blog post about procrastinating
12. Mentally rehearse a meeting which will not take place for several days in which the sum of your involvement is to show up and listen.
13. Check Facebook
14. Check email for answers to random emails sent earlier
15. Move laundry basket from kitchen to bedroom
16. Get drink from refrigerator
17. Play more computer games
18. Survey notes relevant to report
19. Check feed reader for new items of interest
20. Look at clock, notice another hour has passed, comment out loud that your report is not going to write itself
21. Close window with computer game
22. Pull up previous report and create a new copy of it to work from
23. Write report, which will take all of 45 minutes
24. Email report, cross your fingers and hope the formatting doesn't disintegrate in transit like it has every. other. time.
25. Tell yourself it wasn't nearly as much work as you'd anticipated
26. Check Facebook
27. Write blog post
28. Ask yourself why you're still up at 1:20 am when everyone with any sense at all is sound asleep.
29. Hit "publish", turn off computer and tuck yourself in bed already

Random Acts Of Kindness: Kroger Gas Pump Edition...
To the gentleman from Ohio at the Kroger gas pumps tonight: I wanted to properly thank you for turning almost directly into my Hyundai so you could get into line for the second pump. Because I was forced to detour around your bumper and proceed to the far end of the island, I was able to find an open pump for the minor inconvenience of driving around the pump and approaching from the opposite direction. I'm sorry for giving you the disapproving head shake as I inched around you, trying not to make contact with your vehicle. I didn't know in mere moments I would be doing the happy dance as I waited for the pump to fill my gas tank while seeing you waiting your turn at the pump you so desperately wanted to use. The big smile I gave you on my way to the exit as you were just getting out of your car was intended only to show you how happy I was. Honest.
